Existing Facility # 3

The former Downing Heliport is located at the Mineral

Wells Municipal airport in Mineral Wells, Texas .  The

Downing Campus is comprised of three separate buildings

located on approximately nine acres of land.  The buildings

contain roughly seventy thousand square feet.

The Instructional Pilot (IP) Building , a two story facility

containing approximately twenty two thousand square

feet, was substantially renovated within the past ten

years.

An additional seventy five hundred square foot

storage and assembly area was constructed more recently.

The remaining available forty 

thousand square feet is a clear

span facility originally built for 

helicopter maintenance.

Each of the roll up doors on both 

the north & south sides of the 

original maintenance facility are 

twenty five foot wide and twelve

and one half foot high.

The west end of the thirty foot wide

covered storage area is enclosed.

This facility provides a very 

substantial enclosed area with 

excellent access throughout.
